Timur L. Onikov

Timur Onikov’s practice is on the crossroads between public and private law. He has represented clients in disputes with the state, advised on public-private partnership, has acted before Russian courts of law and international arbitration tribunals on various matters, including suits against the Russian Federation. Timur also participated in proceedings before the Constitutional Court.

Timur has extensive practice in corporate law and contractual relationships, bankruptcy law; his experience includes support of complex infrastructure and energy projects, reform of monopolies, opinions for major international corporates.

Timur Onikov graduated in 1998 from the Moscow State Academy of Law and two years later, got his Ph.D. (Law) from the Russian State Social University. He was trained in Chadbourne & Parke LLP and joined Padva and Partners in 1999. Timur is a member of the Moscow Bar.

In proceedings before the Arbitrazh Court of the City of Moscow,  the Bureau’s attorney was able to prove that the building was erected with the Client’s own means, is not unauthorised construction, and succeeded in convincing the Court that the Client  had no opportunity to undertake the full commissioning into operation procedure as required by the law.
